So, I've been wondering how old is too old to trick or treat. The twins are 9 and I'm thinking this year might be their last to go shake down the neighbors for candy.
While considering this very issue, the following conversation begins:
Mad Dog: Mom, when can we go trick or treating by ourselves?
The Deuce (interrupting): When we're teenagers.
Mad Dog: Oh yeah, sure. Because we'll be able to get jobs then and have cell phones.
Deuce: Yeah, and when we get to the end of the block, we can just call you (Mom) to come get us.

LOL I'm pretty sure 15 year olds still show up at our door. hardly a costume and whatever they could grab on the way out as the candy collector..but they still show up. I don't think your 9 year olds are going to agree next year if you suggest they're too old :)
