Housebreaking Haiku

Little golden pools
lie wait on linolium.

Unsuspecting me.

The puppy won't pee.
Outside. In grass lotus green.
Need more paper towel.

We tether to belts
Watching water in and out.
Accidents happen.

Weary. Frustrated.
Patience grows thin. Breaks like ice.
At least she can fetch.

Puppy, where's your brain?
You have to catch on real soon.
Good thing you're so cute.
