5 Things About Returning to Work.

5 Things I'll Miss About Maternity Leave:

  1. Elastic waistbands.
  2. Cat naps and cuddling with the baby.
  3. Sleeping past 6 a.m. (even if it's because I was up all night with the baby).
  4. Making dinner at a leisurely pace.
  5. Grocery shopping during daylight hours.

I could actually go on and on.

And on and on and on.

And on.

And now, 5 Things I'm Looking Forward to About Returning to Work:

  1. Adult conversation.
  2. Mental stimulation beyond what I've watched on Bravo, Oprah or read in magazines.
  3. Not doing housework during daylight. (At night, you don't see the dust as much.)
  4. Uninterrupted peace, quiet and solitude during my commute.
  5. Feeling like I've helped others (my clients) and not just my family.

It's surprisingly not too hard to come up with five things on this list too.

Yes, I miss the yoga-style maternity pants too, especially since I had a pair that were dressy enough for work. :)

Now that he's older, I miss seeing my kiddo in the morning but I don't miss the tantrum right before nap time. ;)
